Job Description

Water/Wastewater Project Engineer

A leading engineering firm is actively seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer with 3–6 years of experience to join their team. This is a full-time position based in a local professional engineering office, focused on the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects across the region.

This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure work while collaborating with a forward-thinking and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of water/wastewater projects.
  • Monitor project progress, performance, and deliverables in alignment with budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate across teams to resolve escalated technical or project-related issues.
  • Mentor entry and mid-level engineers as part of a collaborative team structure.
  • Support preparation of design plans, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Participate in project budgeting and contribute to strategic project planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain one.
  • 3–6 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including treatment and conveyance systems.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, regulatory standards, and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with design software (e.g., Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or MicroStation).
  • Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain in Arkansas.
