Job Description

Job Title: CNC Machinist – Swing Shift (3, 4 & 5 Axis)

Our client, a respected precision machining and fabrication company, is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for their swing shift team. This is a hands-on role requiring independent work on complex components using advanced CNC equipment. As the night shift grows, they're looking for dependable, skilled professionals to match the performance of the day shift.

If you're confident with 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines, including horizontal and vertical lathes, and want to work in a clean, safety-first shop—this is your chance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes with minimal oversight

  • Read blueprints and engineering drawings to complete quality parts

  • Perform inspections and complete turnover documentation

  • Plan setups, determine tooling needs, and maintain clean machines

  • Use Mastercam or similar software for program review

  • Communicate with shift lead and escalate issues when needed

  • Follow safety protocols and assist junior machinists as needed


Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years CNC machining experience

  • Skilled in horizontal and vertical lathe operation

  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, setups, and CNC tooling

  • Comfortable working independently on night shift

  • Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and mechanically skilled


Shift & Work Conditions:

  • Swing Shift / Night Shift
