Job Summary: This position plays a key role in supporting production by working closely with tooling, engineering, and department leadership. The CNC Swiss Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a Tsugami B0123-III Swiss Screw machine and may perform other general machining duties using lathes, mills, grinders, and saws. The role focuses on developing efficient processes that meet design tolerances and support quality manufacturing.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Follow all safety and HESS protocols
· Apply advanced mathematical concepts (geometry, trigonometry) in daily tasks
· Maintain and inspect machinery, equipment, and tools
· Utilize inspection tools for in-process quality checks
· Program and operate Tsugami Swiss CNC machines
· Set up machines and perform first article inspections
· Monitor and run production with consistent quality inspections
· Assist with programming/setup of CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and saws as needed
· Communicate with management on nonconformance and improvement opportunities
· Participate in audits and resolve issues promptly
· Make data-driven decisions and support continuous improvement
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace in alignment with 5S principles
· Recommend improvements in safety, quality, cost, and efficiency
· Interpret blueprints and apply GD&T specifications
· Monitor and adjust machine setup as needed
· Conduct minor machine maintenance and tool & die work

Qualifications and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED required
· 2-year technical degree/certificate in machining or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of CNC programming and operation experience
· 3+ years in Swiss machining, preferably with Tsugami machines
· CAM software experience, GibbsCAM preferred
· Proficiency in G & M codes for Swiss machining
· Ability to interpret blueprints, safety rules, and maintenance instructions

Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to talk, hear, stand, and use hands frequently
· Occasional walking, sitting, and reaching with arms
· Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment

Work Environment:
· Work is performed in a typical machine shop environment
· Use of PPE required where applicable
· May be exposed to noise, temperature fluctuations, and confined spaces
