About:
Seeking a proactive and organized Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive support across multiple practice groups, including white-collar litigation, healthcare fraud, and commercial litigation as primary areas, with additional support for product liability, insurance defense, and employment law. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting a diverse range of complex legal matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize case files, documents, and pleadings for multiple practice areas
- Assist attorneys with drafting, proofreading, and preparing legal documents, briefs, and discovery materials
- Coordinate scheduling of meetings, court dates, depositions, and conferences
- Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and other parties
- Maintain and track deadlines to ensure timely filings and responses
- Support administrative functions such as filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and deposition summaries
- Perform legal research as directed and support attorney case strategies
Qualifications:
- Prior legal support experience, ideally supporting multiple practice groups
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with legal software (e.g., case management systems, document management tools) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks efficiently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional demeanor and team-oriented attitude
