A well-established, full-service litigation firm in downtown Vancouver is seeking a seasoned lawyer to join its growing Estate Litigation group. Known for its exceptional client service and advocacy, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with 8+ years of experience in estate litigation.

While a portable book of business is an asset, it is not a requirement. The firm provides a supportive, team-oriented environment where you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own files with access to internal legal resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of estate litigation matters from intake to resolution, including court appearances and negotiations.

  • Draft pleadings, applications, legal opinions, and correspondence with a high degree of precision.

  • Develop case strategies and collaborate with colleagues across practice areas when needed.

  • Deliver consistent, high-quality client service with professionalism and integrity.

  • Mentor junior lawyers or support staff as appropriate (depending on experience and interest).

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent and member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.

  • Minimum 8 years of estate litigation experience, ideally within a private practice setting.

  • Proven ability to manage files independently, while also contributing to a collaborative team culture.

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

  • Strong legal research and analytical thinking.

Compensation & Flexibility

  • The firm offers competitive compensation structured as either a salary or fee-split arrangement, tailored to your goals and level of client development.

  • Opportunities for partnership consideration may be available for highly qualified candidates.

  • Flexible hybrid work arrangements are available based on experience and autonomy.
