Labor & Employment Law Attorney Position Overview:

A highly regarded law firm in Northern California is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment matters in a supportive, well-established practice. A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in wage and hour litigation, class action matters, and employment discrimination/wrongful termination cases in California state and federal courts

  • Prepare responsive pleadings, engage in motion practice, and manage discovery

  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, policy development, and pre-litigation risk management

  • Respond to administrative charges (EEOC, DFEH, DLSE)

  • Counsel clients on wage and hour laws, leave laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA), and other employment-related regulations

  • Deliver compliance training and assist with internal investigations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of labor & employment litigation and counseling experience

  • Strong working knowledge of California and federal employment laws

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills and business acumen

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California
