Project Manager – Marine Construction
A growing marine construction company specializing in marinas, docks, seawalls, shoreline stabilization, and a wide range of marine and shoreline infrastructure projects is currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee marine construction projects and support our continued growth and success.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of marine construction projects. This includes ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this position involves coordinating project teams, contributing to estimating efforts during project lulls, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and completion of marine construction projects such as marinas, docks, and seawalls.
Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations; monitor project progress and address any issues.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers to ensure all project requirements are met.
Support cost estimating and bid development using HCSS HeavyBid during periods of project downtime.
Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
Perform regular site visits to monitor operations, ensure quality, and enforce safety practices.
Prepare detailed reports and provide ongoing updates to both management and clients.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of project management experience in marine construction.
A bachelor’s degree in Civil, Marine, or a related engineering field is highly preferred.
Prior experience with HCSS HeavyBid estimating software is highly desirable.
In-depth knowledge of marine construction practices, particularly in docks, marinas, seawalls, and shoreline stabilization.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
