I’m recruiting for a confidential client — one of the most respected and innovative general contractors in the country, known for delivering complex, high-profile commercial projects with a relentless focus on safety and quality.
They are actively searching for an experienced and impactful Safety Manager to lead site safety on challenging, large-scale projects across sectors like high-rise, life sciences, tech campuses, higher education, and healthcare.
🔍 What They’re Looking For:
A hands-on construction safety leader with deep field experience on large commercial or institutional projects
Someone passionate about elevating safety culture — not just enforcing rules, but building strong relationships in the field
A proactive communicator who can collaborate with all stakeholders, from trades to executive leadership
💼 What You’ll Do:
Oversee all jobsite safety planning and execution from day one to closeout
Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and routine inspections
Monitor subcontractor compliance and foster a culture of accountability
Manage incident reports, investigations, and process improvements
Liaise with internal and external teams, agencies, and regulators
🎯 Desired Experience:
5+ years of safety management in commercial construction (mid- to large-scale projects)
OSHA 30 required; CHST, CSP, ASP or other certifications a major plus
Strong knowledge of CAL/OSHA, NFPA, and relevant safety and health codes
Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety reporting software
💰 Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary up to $180,000, based on experience
