Position Summary: The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This role is ideal for a hands-on financial leader with experience in the insurance industry or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and insurance industry regulations
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and tax professionals
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
