We are seeking a Business Development Leader to drive growth and opportunity within the Commercial Construction sectors. This is a key leadership role focused on identifying strategic opportunities, building meaningful client relationships, and leading major pursuits for one of the Midwest’s most respected contractors.
The ideal candidate brings a track record of winning work, a strong network within the industry, and a passion for shaping the future of a high-performing, people-first organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business development strategy across Commercial Construction markets
- Cultivate and grow client relationships with owners, developers, and design teams
- Identify, pursue, and secure high-value project opportunities
- Collaborate with executive leadership, preconstruction, and operations to craft and execute pursuit strategies
- Represent the company at industry events and in client-facing meetings
- Provide market insights to support long-term growth planning and positioning
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Construction (business development, project leadership, or executive role)
- Proven ability to win work and establish long-term client partnerships
- Strong knowledge of construction delivery methods, market trends, and development pipelines
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive measurable results
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required for highly qualified candidates
