Position: Conveyancer
Location: Kelowna, BC
Salary: $55,000–$75,000, depending on experience and monthly file volume
Presented in confidence by a GPAC legal recruiter
The Opportunity:
A respected full-service law firm in the Okanagan region is seeking an experienced Residential Real Estate Conveyancer to support its growing real estate practice. The role is based in Kelowna and offers a stable, professional environment with strong internal systems that allow legal professionals to focus on high-quality conveyancing work—not administrative overhead.
Why This Role Stands Out:
This team has thoughtfully structured its conveyancing workflow to maximize efficiency and reduce burnout. You won’t be expected to handle front-end or post-closing administrative tasks (no conflict checks, opening/closing files, or discharge follow-up), which means your focus stays where it matters: completing accurate and timely files.
Responsibilities:
Manage a steady volume of real estate transactions including sales, purchases, mortgage refinances, and property transfers.
Work closely with a team of experienced lawyers and support staff.
Maintain strong communication with clients, agents, and financial institutions throughout the file lifecycle.
Use tools like BC Online, LTSA, and conveyancing software to facilitate accurate and efficient closings.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Minimum 3 years of residential conveyancing experience in a BC law firm.
Confidence in managing a high-volume file load independently (20–25 files/month).
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and file organization.
Proven ability to collaborate in a team-oriented legal setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client care.
Tools & Experience:
Familiarity with e-filing systems, LTSA, and BC Online is essential.
Comfort working with conveyancing-specific software platforms.
Compensation & Expectations:
Salary range of $55,000 to $75,000, based on experience and demonstrated capacity to handle volume.
Higher salary offered for those who can confidently manage a larger monthly file load.
No overtime expected due to streamlined systems and well-balanced workflow.
