CABINET DESIGNER CUSTOM MILLWORK

We are currently searching for an exceptional, hands-on Cabinet Designer to draft plans for the production of custom cabinets and millwork. To be successful in this role, you should be a strong multitasker with excellent customer service skills and a sharp eye for design and detail. A top-tier Cabinet Designer will show initiative while staying within the scope of client expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to understand the intended function and style of each space

  • Develop detailed layouts and shop drawings for custom cabinetry and millwork

  • Suggest materials, finishes, and functional enhancements to improve design and usability

  • Design with consideration for water, electrical, and HVAC systems for safety and practicality

  • Create production-ready plans using industry-specific software

  • Educate clients on proper cabinet care and maintenance

  • Track hours and tasks to ensure accurate billing

  • Ensure designs adhere to building codes and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cabinet Designer or Drafter

  • Proficiency in Cabinet Vision (REQUIRED)

  • Highly desired skills: Experience with MicrovellumMozaik, and AutoCAD

  • Strong portfolio of completed designs and built projects

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of construction standards and regional building codes

  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to listen to and align with client needs and budgets
