Multiamily Construction Assistant Superintendent or Assistant Project Manager (Savannah, GA area)
BIG need for a Multifamily Construction Asst Superintendent or Asst Project Manager for the Savannah, GA area! As a Multifamily Construction Asst Superintendent / APM, you will be working closely with project engineers, project manager, subcontractors, and clients to enrsure on time and budget projects dealing with Multifamily construction. You will be responsible for analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the overall running of commercial multifamily construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multifamily style construction processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with all parties.
Key Responsibilities of Multifamily Assistant Superintendent / APM:
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
Conduct regular walks and review detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other team members to identify potential opportunities or issues.
Prepare and present comprehensive and accurate updates and reports to clients when needed.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry best practices.
Maintain a thorough understanding of project schedules, budget and deadlines.
Qualifications for Multifamily Assistant Superintendent / APM Position:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field 3-5yrs (Preferred), local / area experience a big plus!
Proven experience as a Construction Asst Superintendent or APM, with a track record of successfully running multifamily new construction and tenant improvement projects.
Strong knowledge of multifamily construction processes, materials, and methods.
Proficiency in construction scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and safety skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with local Savannah area building codes and regulations.
