Tax Associate

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join a dynamic team supporting clients with a variety of tax needs. This position offers hands-on experience across individual and business returns, with a focus on growth, mentorship, and long-term career development in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
Conduct tax research to resolve complex issues and assist with strategic planning
Support clients during audits and respond to IRS or state tax authority inquiries
Maintain accurate and organized workpapers and supporting documentation
Utilize tax software and Excel to process data and generate reports
Stay informed of regulatory updates and tax law changes
Collaborate with senior associates and managers to ensure deadlines and client needs are met
Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold strong client relationships
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1–3 years of relevant tax experience (internships included); entry-level candidates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply
CPA candidate or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced setting
