Job Description

An excellent manufacturing company is hiring a Diesel / Hydraulics Technician.  The ideal candidate will have diesel certification, but not required.  This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing, exciting team!  50% travel and 50% onsite.  Reach out for a confidential conversation.

Responsibilities for Diesel / Hydraulics Technician

  • Perform maintenance and repair on heavy duty equipment. 
  • Identify problems using the diagnostic equipment.
  • Explain repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
  • Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems.
  • Must be well-versed in hydraulics, mechanics and heavy duty diesel equipment. 
  • Heavy duty equipment experience preferred.
  • Troubleshoot and repair.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Help keep shop clean and organized.
  • Keep a professional appearance.

Requirements for Diesel / Hydraulics Technician

  • Hydraulics, mechanical, electronic and diesel experience. 
  • Diesel certification is a plus, but not required.
  • MUST HAVE a valid driver license.
  • MUST be able to travel 50% of the time and be onsite in the plant 50% of the time.  
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service.
  • Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
  • May lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • High level aptitude.
  • MUST be a good communicator with customers under stressful conditions. 
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
  • Often the "face" of the company - must keep a professional appearance and attitude.


Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven individual, ability to work with minimal direction
