Job Title: Manufacturing Project Manager

Overview We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to plan, execute, and lead projects related to the manufacturing of complex hardware. This role oversees schedules, customer communication, and day-to-day project leadership, ensuring projects meet quality, budget, and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing projects from planning to completion, aligning with customer and company goals.

  • Review requests, develop solutions, and manage engineering drawings for manufacturing and assembly.

  • Prepare detailed quotes, maintain bills of materials, and requisition outside resources as needed.

  • Conduct contract reviews, develop manufacturing/assembly/test flows, and identify risks with mitigation plans.

  • Provide weekly project status reports covering schedule, cost, and progress.

  • Serve as primary customer contact for updates, scope changes, and technical issues.

  • Coordinate internal teams (engineering, planning, machinists, quality) and external vendors/suppliers.

  • Monitor processes to improve efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Ensure all tooling, fixturing, and resources are aligned for project success.

  • Track project profitability using ERP reporting (Epicor preferred).

  • Capture lessons learned and share improvements for future projects.

  • Support a culture of continuous learning and technical growth.

  • Participate in mandatory overtime when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree required (engineering or related field preferred).

  • 5+ years of prior engineering or industry project management experience preferred.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to develop creative solutions.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP systems preferred.

  • Strong oral, written, and technical communication skills.

  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and effective working independently or on a team.

  • Customer-focused, with proven ability to build relationships and address client needs.

  • Professional demeanor and ability to remain composed under pressure.
