Flooring Manager in Harbor View

Job Description

I have a client in Columbus with an immediate need for a Flooring Manager. Base salary, aggressive bonus structure and full benefits.

Daily Responsibilities

●      Manage the Flooring Calendar with ALL details. Include job details and measurements.

●      Create work orders for jobs to be completed the next day.

●      Contact subcontractor(s) to inform them of work for the next day. Complete by noon.

●      Review work order(s) with assigned subcontractor(s) and answer questions as needed.

●      Create subcontractor PO’s in QuickBooks.

●      Create estimate(s) in QuickBooks.

●      Communicate with subcontractors if there is an issue on the jobsite and resolve the problem(s).

●      Communicate with customers as necessary.

●      Via email, obtain change order(s). Review and receive approval by COO or CEO for each change order(s).  Communicate changes to subcontractors, and make changes to work order(s).

●      Review Inventory and order flooring materials per company guidelines.

●      Answer questions from the warehouse regarding materials and/or work orders.

●      Generate sales from new construction and replacement work.

 

Weekly or As Needed Responsibilities

●      Complete takeoffs for new construction bids and prepare for submission.  Receive approval from your supervisor prior to submitting to the customer.

●      Collect complete credit applications for all customers not paying COD. Obtain approval from COO or CFO. Place approved hard copy of application in customer file. Upload approved applications into the shared drive.

●      Collect, review, verify completion and quality of work, and edit subcontractor pay for processing.  To be completed by the end of the workday each Monday.

●      Acquire best manufacturer pricing on materials.

●      Find and maintain qualified subcontractor crews for carpet, sheet vinyl, LVT, hardwood, and ceramic tile.

●      Walk jobsite(s) to resolve issues with the Field Team.

●      Cross train team members in all areas of flooring responsibilities.
