Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer Salary Range: $90,000 – $130,000, depending on experience. Job Type: Full-Time. About the Opportunity: I am seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Engineer to join a highly respected, 100% employee-owned civil engineering firm that has proudly served North Carolina for over 50 years. As a Water & Wastewater Engineer, you will be an essential part of a collaborative team responsible for planning, permitting, and designing municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. This includes sewer systems, pumping stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and distribution networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee water and wastewater projects
  • Conduct site visits and community assessments
  • Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and design specifications
  • Coordinate permitting processes and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal team members
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • PE license 
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in treatment design, infrastructure 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and coordinate with stakeholders
