Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager in the Twin Cities area to oversee large-scale earthwork and site development projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in excavation, grading, and site utilities, with proven skills in estimating, scheduling, and managing multi-million-dollar projects. Experience with Agtek or similar earthwork takeoff/estimation software is highly preferred.

Project Manager – Earthwork

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of earthwork and site development projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Lead estimating efforts using Agtek and other tools to prepare accurate takeoffs, bids, and cost models.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial reporting to ensure successful delivery.

  • Oversee field operations, subcontractor coordination, and equipment management on large-scale projects.

  • Collaborate with owners, engineers, and municipalities to address scope, permitting, and design issues.

  • Prepare and process RFIs, change orders, pay applications, and progress reports.

  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff and project engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent field experience.

  • 5+ years of project management experience in earthwork, excavation, or heavy civil construction.

  • Strong background in estimating and project financial management.

  • Proficiency with Agtek (preferred), as well as Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training (preferred).
