Associate Attorney – Employment Defense - Los Angeles, CA

A leading Los Angeles law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with employment law defense experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to handle the full spectrum of employment law defense matters in a supportive, collaborative environment with a strong commitment to work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the full range of employment defense cases, including wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and class/PAGA actions
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Represent clients in mediations, depositions, hearings, and trials as needed
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on strategy and case management
  • Provide proactive client counseling and risk management advice

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; active California Bar membership in good standing
  • Experience in employment law defense (individual and class action)
  • Strong research, writing, and litigation skills
  • Excellent communication and client management abilities
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle matters with independence and professionalism
