Job Description

A well-established Georgia-based general contractor with a strong, steady pipeline of public and private projects is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage ground-up and renovation projects across the Southeast. This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and with the highest level of quality, while maintaining strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.

• A strong communicator who can coordinate multiple trades and keep all stakeholders informed
• Collaborative and solution-oriented, able to resolve challenges quickly while keeping projects on track
• Experienced in managing complex commercial and institutional projects with demanding schedules

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all onsite construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field staff to maintain schedule and budget goals
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements
• Monitor work quality, perform regular site inspections, and proactively address deficiencies
• Facilitate project meetings and provide timely updates to project managers and owners
• Maintain daily logs, manage RFIs and submittals, and ensure accurate project documentation
• Collaborate with project managers during preconstruction and scheduling to ensure project readiness
• Represent the company professionally with owners, architects, inspectors, and community stakeholders

 

Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
• Equivalent experience will be considered for candidates with strong industry background

Experience:
• 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial, institutional, or municipal projects
• Demonstrated success leading projects from mobilization to closeout
• Knowledge of building codes, ADA requirements, and construction sequencing for public facilities
• Background in ground-up and renovation work, including MEP coordination and interior finishes

 

Technical Competencies:

• Proficiency with construction management software (Procore experience highly valued)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
• Strong scheduling skills and familiarity with CPM scheduling methods
