Job Description

A well-established Georgia-based general contractor with a strong portfolio of public and private projects is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple commercial and institutional construction projects across the Southeast. This role is critical to delivering high-quality work safely, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining strong client and design team relationships.

• A proactive leader with a proven ability to manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accurate forecasting and cost control
• An excellent communicator who builds trust with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and buyout during preconstruction
• Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring alignment with plans, specifications, and client expectations
• Manage subcontractor relationships, negotiate contracts, and coordinate project logistics
• Monitor job costs, track progress, and forecast financial performance to ensure profitability
• Conduct regular site visits to support the superintendent, monitor quality, and resolve issues
• Facilitate project meetings with owners, architects, engineers, and internal staff
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting to company leadership and ownership teams
• Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and turnover documentation

 

Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred
• Equivalent field experience will also be considered

Experience:
• 2+ years of experience managing commercial or institutional construction projects
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Familiarity with public-sector procurement processes and GMP contracts a plus
• Experience in ground-up construction and renovation, including MEP coordination

Technical Competencies:
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore experience strongly preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings
• Strong knowledge of scheduling software and cost management tools

Other Qualifications:
• Ability to travel to project sites across Georgia and the Southeast as needed
• Professional appearance and demeanor, representing the company to clients and partners
