Position: Healthcare Defense Litigation Associate

Location: Portland, OR (Hybrid)
Experience: 2+ years in medical malpractice or healthcare-related defense litigation
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Billables: 1,750 hours
Schedule: Hybrid – some in-office collaboration expected
Licensure: Oregon Bar required; Washington Bar strongly preferred

Your Practice Will Include:

  • Defending healthcare professionals, hospitals, and providers in complex medical negligence cases
  • Handling cases from pre-suit investigation through trial
  • Interacting directly with clients, experts, and co-counsel
  • Drafting motions, discovery responses, and pleadings
  • Participating in depositions, mediations, and courtroom appearances

What You Bring:

  • 2–6+ years of relevant civil litigation experience; healthcare defense strongly preferred
  • Plaintiff's PI or med mal attorneys are welcome to apply
  • Oregon license required, WA license a big plus
  • A team-first mindset and strong interpersonal communication
  • Solid writing and analytical skills
  • Long-term commitment to litigation and professional development
