A well-established, rapidly growing national food manufacturing company is seeking a Commodity Coordinator to join its expanding team. This role is fully remote and supports K-12 school foodservice programs across the country. The right candidate will play a vital role in ensuring USDA commodity allocations are managed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with federal guidelines.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating with schools, processors, and internal teams to deliver best-in-class support.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and reconcile USDA commodity balances across multiple programs and school districts.
Manage daily activities within Processor Link (or similar systems), ensuring accurate data entry and tracking.
Create and distribute reports detailing school drawdown balances and usage trends.
Collaborate with processors, schools, and internal teams to ensure timely commodity drawdowns.
Track end-of-year balances to minimize carryover or waste.
Analyze commodity usage to recommend improvements in allocation and planning.
Maintain organized records for audits and compliance purposes.
Support sales and leadership teams with reporting, data analysis, and special projects.
Provide training and guidance to schools on commodity processes.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Nutrition, or related field.
5+ years of experience in commodity management, K-12 foodservice, or a related role.
Strong proficiency in Processor Link (or equivalent systems).
Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
Knowledge of USDA Foods program guidelines (a plus).
Self-starter with strong accountability and customer service mindset.
