Tax Manager | McLean County, IL

A well-established public accounting firm in McLean County, IL is seeking a Tax Manager to join its close-knit team. With a strong reputation for professionalism, responsiveness, and quality, the firm provides outstanding service to a wide variety of clients across multiple industries.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, 1120S)
  • Manage multiple client engagements, delivering timely and accurate results
  • Provide proactive tax planning and compliance advice to clients
  • Collaborate with leadership on firm initiatives and client relationships
  • Mentor and support junior staff in professional growth
  • (Bonus) Contribute to audit and general accounting work as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of recent public accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA license preferred (compensation adjusted if not licensed)
  • Strong tax technical skills with exposure to a variety of industries
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in-office (hybrid flexibility possible)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary: $100K – $140K DOE
  • Annual bonuses (paid after April 15th, based on individual and firm performance)
  • Compensation reviews annually (July 1st)
