Job Snapshot

Job Description

About the Company:
We are a growing single-family home builder specializing in homes up to $1.5M, building both in communities we self-develop and in neighborhoods purchased from outside developers. Our projects range from production to semi-custom, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and long-term value.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of homebuilding projects—from raw land through finished product. This role requires more than standard tract home experience. The ideal candidate will bring a background in both production and custom homebuilding, with the ability to navigate site-specific challenges such as grading, foundations, and unique lot conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage residential construction projects from pre-construction through delivery (“trees to keys”).
  • Review and evaluate raw or vacant lots, including grading requirements, soil conditions, and utility access.
  • Work closely with engineers, graders, and subcontractors to ensure site preparation is accurate, cost-effective, and aligned with project schedules.
  • Oversee all phases of construction including grading, foundation, framing, MEP, finishes, and punch list.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and local building codes.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and homeowners on both production and custom projects.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, addressing site-specific challenges proactively.
  • Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction through closing.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in residential construction project management, preferably with homes in the $750K–$1.5M range.
  • Experience in both production and custom single-family homes.
  • Proven ability to manage projects starting from raw/vacant lots (not just padded lots).
  • Strong understanding of site work, grading, foundations, and civil coordination.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in construction management software and scheduling tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

Why Join Us:

  • Work on high-quality homes in thoughtfully developed communities.
  • Be part of a collaborative, growth-focused team.
  • Competitive salary, performance incentives, and benefits package.
