Director of Nursing – Long-Term Care / Home Health | Full-Time | Competitive Compensation & Benefits

About the Opportunity: A respected healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee clinical operations and lead a dedicated care team in a long-term care or home health setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing and clinical staff within the facility or program.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor nursing staff to promote professional development and high-quality care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and workflow to maintain optimal operations.
  • Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement programs, addressing areas of concern proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a role model for patient-centered, compassionate care.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in [State].
  • 3+ years of nursing leadership experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or home health environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, survey processes, and quality assurance programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture.
