Gpac is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to play a key role in performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and supporting daily production needs. You’ll work closely with the Maintenance Manager to maintain uptime, implement improvements, and ensure our equipment operates safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of food packaging and process equipment
- Conduct daily and weekly preventative maintenance inspections
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and adjustments for production
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform light plumbing, electrical, welding, and carpentry tasks as needed
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to recommend equipment upgrades
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Work in a refrigerated production environment
Qualifications
- Experience with food packaging machines (e.g., Multivac Tray Sealers, Multivac Thermoformers, Weber High-Speed Slicers) required
- Experience with automated process equipment such as slicers and pick-and-pack systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
- HVAC experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, fixed daily hours
- Day and second shifts available
- Occasional overtime/weekends as required
