Job Description

Opportunity: Regional Sales Agronomist

Perks: Full benefits (health, dental, vision)

About the Role

We’re hiring a Regional Sales Agronomist to drive agronomic product sales and serve as a trusted advisor to growers and dealers across Iowa. This is a true sales role—but one that requires deep agronomic knowledge, strong field presence, and the ability to build long-term relationships rooted in trust and technical expertise.

You’ll be instrumental in growing the business through agronomic consulting, product recommendations, and in-field support that leads to sales.

What You’ll Do

  • Sell agronomic products and solutions to growers and retail partners

  • Conduct field visits, ride-alongs, and provide on-site recommendations

  • Lead product presentations, grower meetings, and training sessions

  • Identify customer needs and align them with product solutions

  • Support local plot trials, field days, and trade events

  • Deliver insights on product performance, placement, and competitive positioning

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry contacts

  • Collaborate with internal sales and agronomy teams to drive territory growth

  • Stay informed on new products, ag technology, and market trends

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Ag Business, or related field

  • 2+ years of agronomy or ag sales experience

  • Familiarity with Iowa cropping systems and local farming practices

  • Proven ability to build relationships and close sales

  • Experience with seed, crop protection, and/or trial work is a plus

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Self-motivated and results-driven

You’re a Great Fit If You:

  • Enjoy selling through service—leading with knowledge, not pressure

  • Can turn agronomic insights into practical recommendations that drive value

  • Are confident in the field, comfortable with data, and strong with follow-up

  • Thrive on independence but work well as part of a team

  • Want a role where you can make an impact and grow your territory
