Emergency Response Representative (Fire & Disaster Restoration)
Overview: Our valued client is seeking an Emergency Response Representative to join their disaster restoration team. This role is responsible for responding to fire and disaster events, providing immediate support to property owners, and securing emergency services contracts. The ideal candidate is compassionate, proactive, and skilled at building relationships under stressful circumstances while representing the company with professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to fire and disaster scenes to offer emergency restoration services (board-ups, tarping, water extraction, temporary stabilization).
- Serve as the first point of contact for property owners, providing clear communication, empathy, and guidance during a crisis.
- Build relationships with fire departments, insurance adjusters, property managers, and community stakeholders to generate business opportunities.
- Educate clients on available restoration services and assist in securing authorization to proceed with work.
- Accurately document property damage, service needs, and customer information for project setup.
- Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth handoff of secured projects.
- Maintain knowledge of company services, insurance claim processes, and industry best practices.
- Uphold compliance with safety standards, legal regulations, and ethical business practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restoration, construction, emergency services, or sales strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage clients in high-stress situations.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close service agreements.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, customer-first mindset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to calls after hours as needed.
- IICRC certification or restoration industry experience a plus.
