I am partnered with an Independent Insurance Agency who is looking for their next Commercial Lines Department Manager with 10+ years of experience in commercial insurance and a minimum of 5 years managing a team of account managers, assistants, and CSRs. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to inspire and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Commercial Lines department
Lead, mentor, and support a team of account managers, assistants, and customer service representatives
Develop and implement workflows, service standards, and performance metrics
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with a focus on professional development
Ensure the highest level of client satisfaction and retention
Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with company strategy
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and carrier guidelines
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance
5+ years in a supervisory or management role within a commercial insurance department
Deep understanding of commercial insurance products, markets, and workflows
Exceptional leadership and team-building skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Proficient in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Insurance designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM) a plus
