Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in heavy civil construction to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of estimating experience in projects involving earthwork, concrete, and underground utilities for large roadway and bridge construction. Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid is required. This position offers a long-term growth opportunity within a stable, employee-owned company.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for heavy civil construction projects
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field staff to develop complete and competitive bids
Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete, and utility scopes
Review subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness
Participate in bid reviews and post-bid evaluations
Support project teams during preconstruction and handoff phases
Qualifications:
5–10 years of experience estimating heavy civil projects (earthwork, concrete, utilities, roadway/bridge)
Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid required
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Stable employment history and interest in long-term career growth
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
