A well-established commercial general contractor in Albuquerque is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with a stable company known for its strong reputation and supportive culture.
Responsibilities include:
Supervision of two accounting staff members
Reviewing and processing weekly payroll
Creating certified payroll reports
Managing accounts payable and receivable
Processing payroll taxes (940 and 941) for multiple states
Reconciling bank accounts monthly
Preparing monthly financial statements and WIP reports
Performing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
Entering monthly depreciation entries
Supporting annual insurance and workers comp audits
Tracking employee vacation and sick days
Preparing monthly gross receipts/sales tax reports
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry required
Degree in Accounting preferred
Experience with Foundation Construction Accounting Software preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple priorities
Compensation:
Salary is dependent on experience (DOE) and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
