Licensed Civil Engineer (Municipal Focus)
Location: Bettendorf, IA or Galesburg, IL
A well-established multi-disciplinary engineering and architecture firm with offices in Iowa and Illinois is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer with experience in municipal engineering and infrastructure design to join our growing team.
Our firm provides comprehensive services including architecture, civil and structural engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, land surveying, construction inspection, and material testing. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions on time and within budget.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will work on a variety of municipal and public infrastructure projects, collaborating with a team of professional engineers, architects, and technicians. Responsibilities:
Design and manage municipal infrastructure projects (roadways, stormwater, water, and wastewater systems)
Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Support project development from planning through construction
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and regulations
Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois (Iowa license a plus) - or willingness to achieve!
5+ years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably municipal projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong technical, communication, and project
management skills
Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
