Corporate Controller – Multi-Company Accounting Leadership

Location: Dallas, TX

Employment Type: Full-Time | Hybrid

Position Overview

An established and rapidly growing environmental and industrial services organization is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting and finance across multiple operating companies. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on financial leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and enjoys building scalable systems and processes from the ground up.

The Corporate Controller will partner closely with executive leadership to provide financial visibility, implement internal controls, and prepare the organization for continued expansion through acquisitions and organic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting operations for multiple business entities, including general ledger, AR/AP, payroll, and financial reporting.

  • Develop and implement internal financial controls, policies, and best practices.

  • Manage monthly close, consolidation, and preparation of financial statements and analysis.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting to support executive decision-making.

  • Assist with cash flow management, capital planning, and profitability analysis.

  • Partner with leadership to drive strategic initiatives and long-term growth planning.

  • Oversee transition from QuickBooks to a more robust ERP platform (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, or Dynamics).

  • Mentor accounting staff and provide oversight to newly integrated or acquired entities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.

  • CPA preferred, but not required.

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.

  • Prior experience managing financials for multiple companies or divisions.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to develop financial systems, budgets, and performance metrics.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel; ERP implementation experience a plus.

  • Ability to travel periodically between company locations.
