Tax Manager – CPA | Hybrid | Track to Partnership

Our client, a well-established public accounting firm with over 40 years in business, is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team — with a clear path to partnership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex tax returns including corporations, partnerships, S-corps, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
  • Oversee and mentor staff and senior associates; provide training, guidance, and feedback.
  • Conduct tax research and planning for clients on complex issues and tax-saving strategies.
  • Maintain strong client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and firm quality standards.
  • Participate in business development and firm initiatives as part of the partnership track.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license (required).
  • 5+ years public accounting tax experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple entity types (1040, 1120/1120S, 1065, 1041).
  • Experience with tax software (CCH Axcess, UltraTax, Lacerte, or similar).
  • Proven ability to review staff work and manage client portfolios independently.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-service skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $100,000 – $180,000+ (flexible for the right candidate).
