Procurement Manager – Meat / Protein Manufacturing
Location: Western Kentucky Region (On-Site) Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 + bonus Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

We’re looking for a Procurement Manager – Meat to oversee raw material sourcing, supplier performance, and yield optimization across protein categories.

What You’ll Do
Manage all meat and protein procurement to ensure uninterrupted production and supply continuity.
Build and manage supplier relationships, contracts, and scorecards to drive yield, quality, and cost improvement.
Analyze supplier pricing and yield data to identify savings opportunities and improve margins.
Collaborate with Quality, R&D, Finance, and Operations on specifications, reformulations, and sourcing strategy.
Ensure USDA compliance, product integrity, and adherence to company standards.
Maintain accurate procurement data, contracts, and pricing files within ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards).
Partner with logistics and finance teams to manage freight, inventory, and total landed cost.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Animal Science, Meat Science, or Business.
5–8 years of procurement experience in meat or protein manufacturing.
Strong understanding of yield performance, cost modeling, and cold chain logistics.
Proven negotiation skills with an ability to balance cost, quality, and service.
ERP proficiency and advanced Excel/data analysis skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-driven environment with high attention to detail.
