Project Manager – Commercial / Industrial Construction

📍 Location: West Des Moines, IA (50266)

About the Role

We’re looking for a capable Project Manager to lead and coordinate commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. The ideal candidate has solid experience in project delivery, a commitment to safety and quality, and strong ability to build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of construction projects ($1 M–$50 M+ typical).

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.

  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and performance.

  • Ensure compliance with company safety, quality and performance standards.

  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and field personnel.

  • Lead project meetings, documentation, reporting and project close-out.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks; manage RFIs and change orders.

  • Support and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field (preferred).

  • 5-10 years of commercial or industrial construction experience.

  • Proven success managing ground-up and renovation projects across sectors such as manufacturing, warehouse/distribution, healthcare, higher education, or office.

  • Proficiency in construction technologies (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, MS Office).

  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
