Associate Attorney – Banking & Financial Services Litigation

Location: Minnesota (serving clients locally, regionally, and nationally)
Practice Area: Banking & Financial Services Law

Our firm, a leading banking and financial services law practice, is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will focus on enforcement of loan documents, foreclosures, evictions, bankruptcies, and state and federal court litigation.


Responsibilities

  • Represent financial institutions and lenders in all aspects of litigation.

  • Handle matters involving:

    • Enforcement of loan documents

    • Foreclosure and eviction proceedings

    • Bankruptcy and creditor rights

    • Collections and recovery actions

    • Landlord/tenant disputes

  • Manage a large, fast-paced, and varied caseload in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts.

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and appear at hearings, trials, and mediations.

  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients while also handling matters independently.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to practice law in Minnesota (required).

  • Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas:

    • Financial institution representation

    • Loan enforcement and collections

    • Foreclosure and eviction litigation

    • Civil, commercial, or bankruptcy litigation

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Candidates with strong academic backgrounds and an interest in financial services law are encouraged to apply, even without prior experience.
