Job Description

Wellness Director description:

As a key leader within our community, the Wellness Director supervises the entire Wellness team and serves as the acting manager on duty in the absence of the Executive Director. This position requires a compassionate, organized, and motivated individual who can lead and inspire the team while ensuring exceptional resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all Wellness team members including hiring, training, performance management, coaching, and motivation.
• Implement, deliver, and coordinate resident wellness services to ensure high-quality care.
• Conduct interviews, appraise performance, reward, discipline, and address employee concerns following company policies.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to coordinate family/resident care conferences and serve as a liaison among residents, families, and staff.
• Assess and evaluate potential residents for Assisted Living and Memory Care using established assessment tools, including off-site evaluations when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years management experience in healthcare or a service-related setting.
• Strong physiological and psychological knowledge related to gerontology.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
• Experience working with seniors.
