Senior Project Manager – Transportation

Location: Chicagoland Region

Compensation: $110,000+

Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage a diverse portfolio of transportation projects, including roadway construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction, traffic signal design, and planning studies. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple transportation projects simultaneously

  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets

  • Develop and maintain project schedules

  • Lead and mentor project teams

  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders

  • Support marketing and business development efforts

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of transportation engineering experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Strong knowledge of IDOT standards, including Phase I / Phase II design and MFT requirements (preferred)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities

  • Valid driver’s license
