Builder Sales Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Starting at $80,000+, commensurate with experience


Position Summary

The Builder Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a team focused on managing and expanding relationships with builder and contractor accounts. This role drives sales performance, enhances customer satisfaction, and supports strategic growth initiatives across assigned accounts.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven sales leader with strong relationship management skills and a proven ability to grow revenue through team leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers to achieve sales targets and strengthen builder relationships.

  • Monitor, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

  • Use performance data and market insights to adjust sales strategies and improve account outcomes.

  • Design and manage incentive, rebate, and promotional programs to drive increased product adoption and account penetration.

  • Maintain oversight of all builder relationships, ensuring high service levels, responsiveness, and alignment with business objectives.

  • Participate in industry events, trade functions, and networking opportunities to strengthen partnerships and identify new business.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including marketing, operations, and logistics to ensure effective execution of sales initiatives.

  • Support strategic planning efforts related to market expansion, account growth, and long-term customer retention.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of sales management experience with demonstrated success leading and motivating teams.

  • Prior experience in construction, building materials, or a related industry strongly preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and market data.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that produce measurable revenue growth.

  • Willingness to attend industry events and engage in relationship-building activities.
