Job Title: Maintenance Manager – Dairy Manufacturing (On-Site, Full-Time)
About the Role:
Ready to lead a hands-on, high-impact maintenance team in a fast-paced dairy plant? We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager who can roll up their sleeves, mentor the team, and keep everything running smoothly. You’ll work side-by-side with plant leadership, production staff, and hourly maintenance crews. Ideal candidates have 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing, and have grown into a leadership role.
What You’ll Do:
Train maintenance personnel on plant equipment and facility upkeep
Respond to maintenance calls—or delegate to your team
Be available for emergency calls when off-hours via cell phone or designated personnel
Lead preventative maintenance programs and maintain records
Keep accurate equipment files and handle parts/supplies orders efficiently
Issue and track purchase orders; schedule outside contractors
Ensure all equipment complies with regulations
Keep work areas organized, clean, and safe
Collaborate on projects with employees and contractors
Arrange annual boiler inspections and maintain permits/certificates
Handle disciplinary warnings when necessary, keeping Operations Manager informed
Identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities
Keep communication flowing across managers and supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership
What We’re Looking For:
10+ years of industrial maintenance experience, ideally in food manufacturing
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Hands-on, operational approach—this isn’t a desk-only role
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
