About the Role
We are seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to lead and grow sales within a defined territory for a well-established Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) manufacturer. This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with contractors, erectors, developers, and design partners while driving revenue through both direct selling and distributor/channel management.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in metal building systems or structural steel, understands the construction sales cycle, and thrives in a relationship-driven, technical sales environment.
Own and grow sales for the assigned district/territory.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
General contractors
Steel erectors
Developers and owners
Architects and engineers (A&E)
Act as the primary sales contact for PEMB solutions including building packages, framing systems, and related components.
Manage and support a network of authorized builders and distributors.
Identify new business opportunities and strategic accounts.
Work closely with estimating, engineering, and project teams to develop competitive proposals.
Track pipeline, forecasts, and activity using CRM tools.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional construction opportunities.
5+ years of experience in sales within PEMB, metal buildings, structural steel, or commercial construction.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of:
Metal building systems
Construction drawings and specifications
Design-build and negotiated sales processes
Established relationships within the construction industry in the assigned region.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel within territory as needed.
CRM experience preferred.
Previous experience with a PEMB manufacturer or metal building dealer.
Knowledge of building types such as:
Industrial / warehouse
Manufacturing
Aviation hangars
Commercial / retail
Agricultural
