District Sales Manager – Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)

We are seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to lead and grow sales within a defined territory for a well-established Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) manufacturer. This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with contractors, erectors, developers, and design partners while driving revenue through both direct selling and distributor/channel management.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in metal building systems or structural steel, understands the construction sales cycle, and thrives in a relationship-driven, technical sales environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow sales for the assigned district/territory.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with:

    • General contractors

    • Steel erectors

    • Developers and owners

    • Architects and engineers (A&E)

  • Act as the primary sales contact for PEMB solutions including building packages, framing systems, and related components.

  • Manage and support a network of authorized builders and distributors.

  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic accounts.

  • Work closely with estimating, engineering, and project teams to develop competitive proposals.

  • Track pipeline, forecasts, and activity using CRM tools.

  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional construction opportunities.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in sales within PEMB, metal buildings, structural steel, or commercial construction.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Metal building systems

    • Construction drawings and specifications

    • Design-build and negotiated sales processes

  • Established relationships within the construction industry in the assigned region.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to travel within territory as needed.

  • CRM experience preferred.


Preferred Background

  • Previous experience with a PEMB manufacturer or metal building dealer.

  • Knowledge of building types such as:

    • Industrial / warehouse

    • Manufacturing

    • Aviation hangars

    • Commercial / retail

    • Agricultural
