Commercial Construction Superintendent

📍 Raleigh, NC (Relocation available for the right candidate)

A highly reputable and well-established General Contractor in the Raleigh NC market is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their growing team. This role is for a respected company with a strong backlog of work and a reputation for quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships.

Position Overview

The Superintendent will oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will play a key part in managing subcontractors, coordinating field operations, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience required

• 10+ years preferred

• Strong experience in K-12 construction projects highly preferred

• Will consider candidates with diverse commercial project experience (municipal, healthcare, higher education, office, retail, etc.)

• Ground-up and renovation experience

• Experience managing projects $10M+ preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations from mobilization through closeout

• Develop and manage project schedules

• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards

• Conduct site meetings and maintain documentation

• Maintain quality control and client satisfaction

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers and leadership

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering commercial construction projects successfully

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

• Proficient in scheduling software and construction management platforms

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
