Estimator — Commercial Interiors (Confidential Opportunity)

 

A reputable and growing commercial interiors contractor is seeking a motivated Estimator (2–5 years’ experience) to support preconstruction on complex interior build-outs and renovations. Projects span corporate offices, healthcare facilities, life sciences spaces, higher education, and other commercial environments.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a stable, relationship-driven firm with a strong backlog and clear advancement potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual through detailed cost estimates for commercial interior projects

  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for tenant improvements and renovations

  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents for scope accuracy

  • Solicit, analyze, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals

  • Prepare trade scopes and assemble bid packages

  • Identify scope gaps, constructability issues, and cost risks early

  • Support value engineering and cost optimization strategies

  • Maintain current pricing data and historical cost benchmarks

  • Collaborate with PMs, field leaders, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction

  • Assist with schedule input and key milestone planning

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of commercial construction estimating experience (interiors preferred)

  • Exposure to corporate, healthcare, life sciences, or institutional projects is a plus

  • Strong ability to interpret construction documents and interior systems

  • Proficiency in estimating tools and Microsoft Excel

  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
