Quality Assurance Manager – reports to President
Responsibilities
Provides leadership for the function. Holds regularly scheduled meetings that provide feedback on progress of operations. Continuously coaches and develops employees. Conducts timely performance reviews. Develops, implements, and monitors career path planning for employees.
- Monthly metrics: Collate, generate report & set up/chair meetings
- Yearly Management Review: Collate metrics, generate report & set up/chair meetings
- Audits: Internal AS9100, TUV AS9100, Customer audits
- DCC – Processing ECOs through to release & updating documentation files to current documents (R&R obsolete with new)
- CAPA process controls - Customer, Supplier & Internal CAPA management
- Customer & supplier interfacing for status meetings & problem resolutions, min
- NMR process control – MRB meetings, as NMRs arrive
- GIDEP Alerts – Weekly pull of counterfeit & failure alerts from website, record in log & distribute internally. Decide if customer notification is required.
- Quote launches: Review customer RFQs, send QA review email to “Quoting” team. Include all flow downs: Ts & Cs, as well as QA Codes. (May be daily). Enter risks & opportunities discussed at launches into the R& O Log or QCBD.
- Contract review launches: Review customer PO & RFQ to verify if the requirements match or if added/removed. Send QA review email to “Contract Review” team. Include all flow downs: Ts & Cs, as well as QA Codes. (May be daily). Enter risks & opportunities discussed at launches into the R& O Log or QCBD.
- Manage Risk & opportunity process
- QMS Procedure updates
- IT Infrastructure & IT meetings – Complete open actions
- NIST/CMMC – Working with IT, to prep for 3rd party cert
- Training: Work with HR & Manufacturing manager to ensure training plan is on track. Administer new-hire onboard training (AS9100, Docs, review QA Manual, counterfeit, BAE OPSEC, GDEB video, IT BYOD, Shelf-life)
- Supplier Approvals – QMS surveys & Certs constant updates being made. More visits to suppliers.
- Supplier EOL/PCNs – Purchasing to advise field in new Vis (Develop process to add info to Vis to advise customers during the quoting stage)
- Quarterly Supplier Ratings - Completing in a timely manner (New Vis has delivery report; waiting for Vis team to develop Quality Rating Report)
- Calibrations & monthly PMs: Run cal due reports from QCBD. sets up internal quarterly (& as needed) calibrations with Hayes. Sends pout equipment for cal, when required. Maintains calibration list; which included customer & government property equipment logs & cals. Updated records accordingly in QCBD. Monthly PMs documented in QCBD
- NAVSUP GFP - Need to do the Self-Assessment IAW QWI-07-01B (yearly/each Jan) & W2W (Wall-to-Wall Monthly)
- Walk-arounds –Restart & continue monthly, min
- Manage QC inspections with Fatima: Incoming, In-process & Final
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelors Business, Engineering or related field
- Not less than ten years previous experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical problem solving required
- Experience in Total Quality Management and process improvement
- IPC certifications a plus
- Attention to detail
- Ability to drive and visit customers as needed
- Basic math skills
