A high-volume food & beverage manufacturer in Northern Illinois is adding a Production Supervisor to their operations leadership team due to an internal promotion.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, leading teams, and keeping lines moving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The plant is a large, established operation with strong growth and long-term opportunity for advancement.

This role is unique because it supports production leadership across the plant and requires someone who is flexible with shifts when needed to help support operations. If you’re the type of supervisor who can step in, solve problems, and keep production running smoothly, this could be a strong fit.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Leading production teams and keeping daily operations running efficiently• Running daily production meetings and communicating priorities for the shift• Ensuring safety, GMP, sanitation, and food safety standards are followed• Managing start-ups, changeovers, line performance, and shutdowns• Tracking productivity, downtime, and efficiency across production lines• Working closely with Quality and Maintenance to keep production moving• Coaching, mentoring, and developing production employees and leads• Supporting audits and ensuring proper production documentation is completed• Helping maintain smooth shift transitions and communication between teams• Driving continuous improvement and helping improve line performance

What the company is looking for:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in food or beverage manufacturing• Strong understanding of GMPs, food safety, and production operations• A hands-on leader comfortable working on the production floor• Someone flexible with shifts to support plant operations when needed• Strong communication and problem-solving skills• Lean / continuous improvement experience is a plus• Bachelor’s degree preferred but relevant experience will absolutely be considered

Compensation

$65,000 – $85,000 base salary depending on experience

Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, disability, life insurance, and additional employee programs.

This role also offers long-term advancement potential into higher operations leadership positions within the plant.
