Qualifications:
● Minimum of 1–5 years of mental health/behavioral health experience preferred
● Experience in child and/or adolescent psychiatry
● Knowledge of evidence-based best practices, trauma-informed therapy, and client-centered treatment
● Prescriptive privileges, including DEA controlled substances
● Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
● Substance abuse/rehab experience welcomed
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Comfort working with computers and tele-psych technology
● High level of cultural competency and understanding of social barriers to health care access
● Commitment to a positive, team-based approach to treatment and care
Responsibilities:
● Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments, developing and monitoring individualized treatment plans
● Prescribe psychiatric medications and collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and primary care physicians to ensure appropriate medication monitoring and adherence
● Provide psychiatric consultations and coordinate services with each client's primary care physician
● Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system
● Maintain compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines
● Demonstrate cultural competency and awareness of social barriers to accessing care
● Promote a collaborative, team-based approach to treatment
